COMMUNICATION METHOD
To contact Mountain Fables please message the Etsy or eBay shop. Messaging and Shopping buttons are conveniently located throughout this site.
- Communicate through the shop messaging system where the merchandise of interest is being offered or where your purchase was made.
- Beware of scams. Mountain Fables will contact you only through the store's messaging system. No communication is initiated or processed through external emails from this site or any other, nor through texting, phone calls or personal meetings.
- ***Do not respond to any attempts or requests to communicate through any of those external methods. Report these unofficial attempts to the Mountain Fables shop where the incident took place and to the e-platform's Customer Service Department. They can direct you further if need be.
- Both shoppers and shop owners can occasionally encounter mistakes, misunderstandings or even scams. By using the shop messaging system you ensure that clear and accurate records of all transactions are maintained.
- This messaging protocol is essential for safeguarding everyone's personal and financial security and is therefore the sole means of communication used at both Mountain Fable Shops.

MESSAGING RESPONSE TIME
Communication is a very important part of Mountain Fables. There is nothing worse, or more frustrating than not being able to contact someone you are doing business with. Our goal is to always provide dependable and timely communication.
- On the mountain cell phone service is virtually non-existent, so I do not carry a cell phone while working in the field. On very busy days when I am out and about I have to wait to get back to the computer to check messages. I make message checks throughout the day and will get back to you as soon as I see your message.
- The region where MTF is located has occasional power outages; some weather related, some not. Our electric company works to minimize the duration of each outage as rapidly as they can. When the outages happen the internet connection is lost and may cause a delay in response time.
- In all instances just know that I will always get back to you as soon as I are able..
- Messages received after 8:00pm EST will be answered the next morning.
- All messages sent on Sunday will be answered on Monday.

SHIPMENT PROCESSING TIME
Normal Weather Conditions:
- Once payment is received the goal is to ship as quickly as possible.
- Shipping times will vary depending on the time of day order is received, item bring shipped and the size of the order,
- The quantity of orders being worked on is a variable also. Just know that I am working hard to get your eagerly awaited package to you as quickly as possible.


Extreme Weather Conditions:
- A Mountain Fables is located in a high elevation rural setting which does not receive mail delivery or pick-up.
- A personal visit to the post office is necessary to handle USPS shipments. Therefore during winter, shipping times may be affected by weather conditions, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
- I will always message you and keep you aware of the situation.
CARRIER
1. The choice of carrier depends on the merchandise being shipped. Certain items may be sent via USPS, while others may be shipped through UPS.
2. Refer to each listing for specific shipping details. Inquire with questions.
3. *SIDE NOTE: WHEN USPS IS USED our rural post office closes at noon (12:00pm) so the time of day your payment is received may play a part in the shipping time. Prompt payments are always appreciated.
SHIP TO LOCATIONS
1. General merchandise shipments may be sent to physical locations o to post office boxes.
2. Plants ship to physical locations only.
3. USPS: General merchandise shipping is available to all areas included in the Priority Flat Rate program.
Any restrictions will be stated in the listing.
4. Plants ship to USA lower 48 only.
5. There may be individual general merchandise or plant listings that are not able to be shipped to certain states or locations. Any restrictions will be stated in the listing.
6. Currently, we only offer shipping within the USA. International shipping is not available at the moment.
7. All shipments are insured and receive a tracking number, so your package's movement through the system and the arrival date will be readily assessable to you.
PLANT SHIPMENTS
- Jelani K. Asantewa is a New York State Registered Nursery Grower. Plant shipments are subject to state-specific regulations. Each plant listing will clearly indicate any locations where shipping is not permitted.
- *** If you've purchased plants please keep an eye on the tracking. It's essential that you're available to receive and unpack them right away.
- Please coordinate with me to select the best shipment date to ensure that you or a responsible party is there to unpack the delivery in a timely manor. The trip is very stressful on the plants and they will greatly appreciate your warm welcome and greeting ~ topped off with a generous serving of water and light!

RETURNS: REFUNDS - RELACEMENT

- Art must be returned in original packaging.
- A packaging adjustment will be made to the cash refund if the art is not returned in its original packaging.

PLANT POLICY
I truly love raising my plants and sharing their beauty and benefits. My goal is to ensure you experience the same joy and usefulness they bring me. When the plants leave my care they are in excellent, healthy condition. I take every effort to ensure they reach you in the same condition. They are carefully packed for the long trip and promptly shipped. However, once they are shipped, many factors beyond my control can affect their well-being. While issues are rare, they can sometimes arise. Please contact me immediately so that the problem may be resolved without delay. ***Please review closely the necessary claim policy, procedure and terms that are listed below.
PLANT CLAIMS: POLICY, PROCEDURE and TERMS
If a plant does not appear healthy or appears dead upon arrival your prompt communication accompanied by a photograph is required to start the claim process.
POLICY: PLANT CLAIMS
- Plants do not need to be physically returned to qualify for a refund or replacement.
- You MUST follow all claim procedures to initiate a claim and receive approval for a refund or replacement.
PROCEDURE: PLANT CLAIMS
- REPORT: Start a claim by first reporting the problem to the MTF shop where the purchase was made.
- TIMELY: The reporting message must be sent to MTF WITHIN 24 HOURS of the shipment delivery date.
- DOCUMENT: The message must contain the information as follows in numbers (4 -7):
- *A statement describing the problem.
- *A clear photograph of the merchandise being reported.
- *A clear photograph of the packaging, interior and/or exterior, highlighting damages, if any.
- *If there is no damage to the package also please provide a picture in the initial message.
Your understanding and cooperation during the claims process is greatly appreciated. The photographs will let me better assess the condition of the plant. Viewing the situation in a timely manor is very important. When requesting a refund or replacement please ensure that you adhere to the terms outlined below.
This process is two-fold:
- The photo will help me identify issues and improve future shipments. In some cases more than one photograph may be requested.
- A photo is imperative in helping me to resolve the problem. A plant that may appear dead may just be in destress from travel. Some specific and simple care may rejuvenate it and solve the problem. If the plant is clearly past saving I will gladly replace your plant with a plant of similar size or give a cash refund.
TERMS: PLANT REFUND or REPLACENENT
MTF is committed to making sure you receive the quality that we commit to and that you expect. Be assured MTF will work with you to close the matter promptly and to your satisfaction. Please be sure to follow all of the steps to help accomplish this goal.
- MYF must be contacted within 24 hours of the tracking delivered date.
- A reporting message and photographs are required, as per DOCUMENT PROCEDURE above. A claim will start when this information is received.
- Claims filed after the 24 hour reporting deadline will not be eligible for a cash refund, but will receive shop credit.
- A refund, shop credit or replacement will be provided if the plant is determined to be unsalvageable.

If a plant was part of a bundle, the cashback amount will be adjusted proportionally to cover only the damaged plant or plants.
